The CRISTALINO LODGE was chosen by the National Geographic Traveler magazine as one of the "25 Best Eco Lodges in the World for 2013" and will be presented in the June/July 2013 edition, as well as being listed in a special photo gallery called "World's Best Eco Lodges", on the award-winning National Geographic Traveler website.
The selection process was competitive and the National Geographic editorial staff worked hard to discover the best, most authentic and most sustainable eco lodges in 2013. Partner and editor Amy Alipio told us, "This year marks the 125th anniversary of the National Geographic Society. The chosen eco lodges capture the society’s spirit of exploration and commitment to the environment." The Cristalino Lodge is the only one in Brazil and one of only two from the whole of South America that are on the list.

The Cristalino Lodge is an outstanding Amazon destination for nature lovers. Located in a private reserve covering 11,399 acres – six times the size of another world-renowned Brazilian nature reserve, the Fernando de Noronha archipelago – the hotel offers some unique outdoor experiences. The bungalows were specially designed to harmonize with the jungle, while offering a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The lodge won the World Savers Award, presented by Condé Nast Traveler, in 2008, and in 2011 was identified by National Geographic Traveler as one of the best hotels in Brazil, due to the combination of authentic experiences, responsible tourism and comfort that it provides. The Cristalino Lodge was also a winner in the Global Vision Awards, presented by Travel + Leisure, in 2012.
