About the Cristalino Wilderness Camp

Few experiences compare to the feeling of waking up in the Amazon. Opening the tent, morning light filtering through trees and palm fronds, the sound of water and the vibrant colors of the birds foster a deep connection with the forest and its rhythms. Set within a former support area of the reserves, the Cristalino Wilderness Camp transforms an existing space into a new starting point to explore different forest environments, while preserving the surrounding area. It gives an immersive experience of nature, in an ideal location for slowing down, replenishing the senses and returning to what is essential.

"A beautiful, tranquil and intimate spot far, far away from civilisation, but utterly sophisticated in its design, facilities and hospitality - the food and service are faultless. The location is out of this world; it’s as though you have your own private Amazon, teeming with wildlife! We loved it. With thanks and appreciation"

ESSENCE

The Cristalino Wilderness Camp was born of a desire to deepen the Amazon experience. Operating independently from the Lodge, it offers the opportunity to explore other areas of the reserve and experience different forest environments, in the close connection with nature provided by exclusive tents. Its name draws from the tradition of explorers’ camps, reinterpreted with comfort, care and respect for the environment. Guided by refined simplicity, the Camp invites guests into a new way of getting close to nature, amplifying the Cristalino Lodge experience.

PRIVACY

With its limited accommodations and restricted occupancy, the Camp transforms the vastness of the Amazon into a deeply intimate experience. Its roomy shared spaces invite direct connection with the landscape and its natural cycles, creating a private setting that is perfect to share meaningful moments with those who are by your side, with yourself and with the forest. The Wilderness Camp can also be booked in its entirety as a place for families or groups of friends.

NATURE

Walking through the Amazon rainforest is also about relearning how to observe. The experience invites you to slow down and enter a state of mindful awareness, where the light filtering through the trees, the movements of the wildlife and the seasonal transformations of the landscape take on new contours. Guides and staff members accompany this journey, sharing knowledge and perspectives that expand the perception of the forest and bring travelers into closer appreciation of its environments, rhythms and ways of life.

ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN

The architecture embodies a contemporary Brazilian essence, inspired by the Amazon and the history of the area. The design combines elevated walkways, structures of timber and galvanized steel and a landscape featuring native species. The climate-controlled tents reinterpret the concept of camping, with sophistication and a sensitive connection to the forest. The result is light, low-impact architecture that is seamlessly integrated into the environment.

"The Cristalino Wilderness Camp was born from the dream of integrating architecture seamlessly into the forest in this truly special location, with lightness and respect for the surroundings. Inspired by the tents of nomadic peoples and contemporary tensile structures, the design features lightweight constructions that are raised from the ground to allow air to flow freely. Renewable materials, landscaping featuring Amazonian species, and carefully designed solutions, all preserve the magic of sleeping in tents within the forest, while offering exceptional comfort and an extremely welcoming atmosphere."
