BEYOND THE GAZE
Our guides lead each learning experience, with profound knowledge of the forest, with sensitivity and respect for nature. On hikes, boat trips and explorations for wildlife observation, they share stories, interpret animal tracks, sounds and details that are often invisible to the eye – this is a fundamental part of the experience of getting to know the Amazon, with depth, sensitivity and shared learning.
EXPLORATION
The stay at the Wilderness Camp includes access to all the outdoor experiences of the Cristalino Lodge, as well as to the exclusive trails and outings in the vicinity of the Camp. That way, one can experience all the attractions of the Cristalino reserves, with more than 30 kilometers of trails and two observation towers, in addition to boat and canoe trips along the river. A precious combination of elegant tents, preserved nature and the Lodge's expertise in nature activities.
At the Wilderness Camp, downtime is seen as a legitimate and valued activity, represented in open conversations and leisurely reading. The bathtub allows you to relax on the private deck, providing a contemplative pause to let the adventures experienced be absorbed and assimilated.
The two private tents in the Cristalino Wilderness Camp can be reserved together, creating a private refuge for families or groups of friends. Integrated with the Social Tent, they provide togetherness and closeness to nature. Outdoor activities, wood-fire-cooked gastronomy, river swims and shared moments make the stay a special memory of living in the forest.
INSPIRATION
For those seeking a place where inspiration flows in a leisurely manner. The Cristalino Wilderness Camp is a refuge for writers, artists, composers, screenwriters, philosophers, designers, architects, creative professionals and anybody who wishes to create, think and refresh their perspectives. With total privacy, it invites you to dive into this inner journey. From time to time, it fosters partnerships with artists to create works inspired by the Amazon and forest conservation.
Over the course of the year, the Cristalino Wilderness Camp reveals the different scenery and rhythms of the forest. In the dry season, the river exposes beaches, rocks and rapids, favoring the observation of larger mammals. In the green season, it becomes broad and serene, reflecting the forest in its mirror. In the rainy periods, the sound of drops on the tent´s canvas creates a cozy atmosphere, while the forest renews itself.
February and March mark the peak of the green season, when the River Cristalino reaches its highest level. The forest takes on intense colors, while short rain showers alternate with sunshine. An ideal time for swimming in the River Esmeralda, as a welcoming experience at the Wilderness Camp.
From April to May, the transition between wet and dry seasons keeps the river high. The scenery changes daily, with reflections on the water. It is a time of calm boating, pleasant temperatures and ever-transforming nature. Perfect for observing monkeys along the riverbanks.
From June to October, the river reaches its lowest levels, revealing rapids, sandy beaches and rock formations. Dry days prevail, with cooler starry nights. It is the ideal time to observe the birds and larger mammals and to contemplate the beauty of this special region of the Amazon.
From November to January, the dry season ends, giving way to the green season. The river begins to rise and the forest renews itself, with an abundance of fruit and colorful fungi springing up on the forest floor. In January, the River Cristalino is full again, completely transforming the landscape.
"Experiencing nature up close transforms the way we see the world and how we relate to it. The Wilderness Camp deepens that connection, inviting us to feel part of something greater."
