With over 15 years’ experience at the Cristalino Lodge, Francisco is an outstanding local guide. He has unparalleled knowledge of the location, identification and habits of hundreds of species of birds and mammals that inhabit the Cristalino Region. He has also contributed to publications, including the recent birding list by LEES, et al. (Alta Floresta revisited: an updated review of the avifauna of the most heavily surveyed site in south-central Amazonia). Francisco is, above all, a friendly, professional and dedicated guide who shares his respect for nature with visitors at the Cristalino Lodge.
