The GreenLeaders badge is a Tripadvisor initiative to promote more sustainable travel around the world. Currently the world's largest program for hotel sustainability rating, it was developed in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) and Energy Star.
The level of each establishment in the assessment depends on a number of environmentally responsible practices. In the Platinum category, Cristalino Lodge meets more than 60% of the independent auditing requirements that make this the highest category in the program.
